Egg Carton Color Sorting

Our world wide classroom has an egg carton color sorting activity that was the inspiration for this one that I made for Meadow.

It was super easy to construct.  I just cut an egg carton in half so there was 6 cups.  I also cut off the lid.
Then I painted each one a different color.  The objective is for Meadow to sort different colored pom poms into the correct colored egg cup.

I LOVE using egg cartons. We use them for painting...keeps our paints seperate and we can mix if we want to. I have also made some cute little trucks using egg cartons and so many other cute little things!!!

Add the use of tongs or clothespins to grasp the poms to add some fine-motor development....
