Rock Climbing

I watched my boy at rock climbing lessons on Wednesday.. . the kids had been split into two teams and his team was clearly the underdog... the race was on to see which team could climb the wall and make a chain of ropes and carabiner... the race again to disassemble the chain.

There were two children left... Hudson was one of them... he was behind... the other kid reached her last section of the chain first but she struggled and couldn't get the carabiner loose...

Hudson dismantled his carabiner like a pro... then called "TATE!" and fearlessly dropped from the wall... his team winning the race.

There was no prize... not trophy to shine... only the heart swelling pride of the win.

And the inner roar of this mama bear cheering on her cub.
